SUBJECT: Vallco EIR Scoping Comments – Impacts
Many
homes in our area do not have air conditioning. In the hot summer
months, they rely on the wind to cool their homes. On very hot days,
the afternoon breeze comes through and blows the hot air out of our
homes. The height and density of this project will prevent the wind
from reaching the homes that rely on it to stay cool.
Please study the impact of this project on the ability of homes to remain cool.
If
homes can no longer rely on the wind to cool down their homes then they
will be forced to get air conditioning which will increase energy usage
and greenhouse gases.
